Four Bedouin pieces from Saudi Arabia.
Carved wood camel not included, but the camel figure represents the Bedouin culture.
Pair of Bedouin long handled tools for roasting.
Possibly nickel (or other heat resistant metal) now worn in places and rusted, yet totally functional. Long handles show carved linear motif designs.
Actually, the ‘coffee beans’ were cardamom seeds which when toasted, ground and added to water, offer a cooling effect in the extreme heat of the desert.
Tool with bowl: 29.5” long; bowl 5.78 “ wide
Tool that pushes beans: 25.75 long w/ oval metal piece as pusher. $250.
Two pieces fired but unglazed ceramics. Bowl with stem probably used to burn incense. 4.25X4.25
Pitcher 10” high X 7” wide. $40
Red and White fabric with geometirac motif worn as head piece by Arab males. Also one in black and white (not shown). I have used similar pieces as curtains, table cloths and poolside wraps. Never worn or washed. 2 for $50
