On our return trip from Saudia Arabia to 'the States', we made a number of stops. The days in Japan were special in many ways. Shoppng in a Tokyo department store and seeing so many fine designs at good prices amazed me! As a previous art student at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, who spent time at The Field Museum in research of other cultures and thier arts, I recognized good design and craftsmanship right away.
