This pin, along with Mexican Taxco jewelry pieces found elsewhere in my website, came to me when my mother passed.  She and my dad made trips to Mexico where she shopped vendors for local specialties.
 
However, to me this particular piece has the feeling of post-Depression art. Mother may have bought it from a jeweler friend who had his second floor shop in The Loop, downtown Chicago. Our family grew up and lived in Forest Park, a Western suburb of Chicago.
 
Silver pin with oak leaf and acorn design: 2 3/8”  X 1 7/8”
Backside pin has a nice safety clasp.
A trade mark of sorts is on the back, but unknown to me.
